I am really enjoying my new position at the other office. It's VERY busy but the stress of someone breathing down my back is gone, the attorney I am working for here is much nicer. Life is pretty good right now. No major issues. Our tax refund was pretty good so we were able to pay off a lot of little bills. Garner is working on getting into nursing school. I'm practicing Addi's walking with her in the evenings which is fun. We all played legos last night. Garner and I watched the TN v Vandy game last night and were very happy Vandy won. Anyway, that is about it right now.

Addi is pulling up and walking along furniture now. She is also waving and saying bye bye. Soooo cute, but growing up waaaay to fast! Collin is still a pistol! He is talking so much...sometimes I just want to yell "BE QUITE!!!"...but I don't. He has learned to drive his jeep really well so Garner took out the nail thing that keeps him from going fast and he can go 5mph now...kind of fast to walk beside. He loves that jeep. We hung out at the park this past weekend and he had a blast! Garner and I have decided we think we want one more baby...once Collin starts school and they are both potty trained...so in about 2 years. Anyway, that's all for now.

Where to start...Christmas was good. Addison had two teeth to start coming in so she was a little cranky and very clingy, but I didn't mind. I actually enjoyed her wanting no one but me. She is still pretty clingy. If someone puts their hands out to her to pick her up and I'm holding her, she turns into me and clings to my shoulder. She is crawling all over the house. She follows me around and she goes off exploring on her own too. She is pulling up onto her knees but has not made it all the way up to a standing position yet, although she loves to stand. She is currently 20 pounds and 12 ounces as of her 9 month check up. She is just beautiful and growing way to quickly. I am so sad to see my children grow so fast, especially since she is probably my last. Anyway, back to Christmas. She got a cabbage patch from Mommy and Daddy with the name "Addison" on it's birth certificate. She also got other various toys, dolls, cloths and books. Collin also got a lot of books, toys and his best gift was from Mommy, Daddy, PaPa, Aunt Jenni, Aunt Tina and Uncle Don. We all pitched in on a Jeep Wrangler Power Wheels. He was so excited and pitches a fit when he has to get off to come in. It's been a lot of fun. Addi rides in it with him. It has an actual radio, glove box, and cup holder. So cute! Collin is still doing well with Addi. He makes her laugh alot and it's nice how they entertain each other. He now can open the child safety knob on his door and is coming and sleeping in the floor of our room around 3 or 4 am. I'm just letting him. We have put a pallet down for him to stay warm. He's only little once and I don't want to spend my nights trying to get him to go back to his room. It's just not worth it. Addison is still sleeping well also. Oh, and Collin heard his Daddy say "crap" so guess what he tries to spit out now?? "CRAP"! I told Garner he better be more careful. When Garner said it and Collin repeated it for the first time we made Daddy go in time out. So Collin goes in time out when he says it too. It's still funny though, we have to restrain our laughter. Well, I'm at work, so gotta go, I know...I need to post pictures!! We have been so busy, I'll try to tonight. Buh Bye!

Addison's Big Day

Addison crawled yesterday! It was very exciting! She has been rolling and scooting everywhere but she actually did the opposing hand/leg crawl! She did it very slowly as if she were thinking about make every move perfect. It was so cute! Sad too, just another milestone closer to growing up...how I wish they could stay little forever! I took pics of the kids in front of the Christmas tree in their Christmas pj's yesterday morning. I will upload them over the weekend. In case no one hears from me before then, Merry Christmas!!

Time Out Teddy!

When Collin acts up, he is either punished with time out (nose to the wall) or a spanking with the wooden spoon depending on the severity of his crime. Well last night Garner was reading Collin a bedtime book in his room. When he was done reading, Collin realized he did not have teddy (his bear). So Garner said "Teddy must be hiding, go find him and tell him it's bedtime". So Collin finds teddy in the den and says "it's bedtime, you go in time out" with a real stern voice, I guess he thought teddy was purposefully hiding so he would not have to go to ged. Then he proceeds to put teddy nose first against the wall. It was so cute and funny, I called for Garner to come see what he was doing. Kids really do the darndest things!

So Thanksgiving went well. Addison had a taste of Pumpkin pie and now she won't eat her veggies in the evening unless I add fruit. She has a sweet tooth, or should I say sweet gum since no teeth have made their debut yet! Collin got to ride a horse and Garner got to shoot skeet in Williston. I got to eat good food, so we were all happy!

Since Thanksgiving, Collin has written on our suede chase lounge with a RED PERMANENT marker, yes, lovely. Addison has decided she only wants to stand up, so even though she is sooo very close to crawling, she might just skip it and go straight to walking! They are playing together a lot now and it's just so cute to hear them making each other laugh.

Garner had sinus surgery last week which went well. His recovery was uncomfortable, but he made a good come back and is back at work this week.

I am still looking for a new job, hating mine, but hey, life can't be perfect all the time! I have however finished my Christmas shopping and only need to wrap. All our Christmas decor was put up this past weekend and looks very nice in our new house. I managed to get the tree in the dining room, so you can see it from the street and it's out of the line of fire of the kids.

Did not get the job. A lady who had 15 years experience got it. It was an HR position, I have some experience, but obviously not 15 years considering I would have had to start work on the field when I was 10! Anyway, still looking, I know something will come along eventually.

So it would be marvelous if the weather here could make up it's mind. It's almost 80 degrees one day, then it barely reaches 60 the next. It's really screwing with my sinuses, not to mention those of my two year old and 7 month old who obviously don't know how to deal with it other than whinning and crying.

Anyway, on to something else...my job still stinks. I'm still looking but it's hard finding something that pays enough that I have any experience in. I have an interview Thursday at a big company, so hopefully that goes well.

The holidays are fast approaching. I am already entangled in the many scheduling discussions between my family, Garner's mom's side and his dad's side...it gets pretty rediculous. I know certain family members think I'm not very nice, but I refuse to bend over backwards to meet every families scheduling requirements. It's just too difficult with two small children. When there were no children, it was nothing for Garner and I to attend 4 or 5 different functions on Thanksgiving or Christmas day, those days are long over though.

Well, this just would not be a true "Rhonda posting" if I did not give a kid update. Both are well other than the sniffles. Addison is still such an easy baby, just like Collin was. Although, I do think I'm in for it when she starts crawling considering she likes to put everything under the sun in her mouth. She is scooting and rolling all over the floor. She loves to bounce and eating is still her favorite sport. Collin is saying new words on a daily basis. He amazes me with the phrases he picks up and even uses correctly. Just the other day I said "thank you Collin" and he said "you're welcome mom". I was blown away...their little minds just absorb so much and then they surprise you when you are not expecting it. He is also still very sweet with Addi. Sometimes he wants to take a toy from her, but most of the time he is offering his up to share with her. It just melts my heart!
I know I am a little biased, but my kids are just beautiful!! I continue to get comments on how Addison looks like a China doll and Collin always gets handsome comments. He's starting to look more like Garner which is amazing.

Addison is seven months old today. Growing up fast! She and Collin play well together. Actually, Collin plays well with Addi. She just tries to take his cars from him so she can chew on them. They are so cute together! Her hair is getting long. She looks adorable with her pony tail on top of her head. Tina bought her a lot of little hair things from the dollar store. I really need to get some pics uploaded for everyone to see...I just never have much time at home.

I went to Nashville with the girls this past weekend. Jenn, Tina and I went and stayed with Garner and Jenni's step-sister Paula. We had a great, relaxing time. Paula has a son, Jacob, who is one week older than Collin. Paula discovered a few weeks back that she had left her son's spider man sippy cup on top of the car but that it had "clung" on for dear life. It was still up there this past weekend. She's leaving it there to see how long it will stay before it's "webbing" gives out. It was a funny conversation piece!

So Tamra has threatened to beat me up, like she did when we were in grade school, if I don't put something new on here soon. So here it is. Life is busy, I hate my job, but the fam is great!

Just kidding, that's not all I will write. Addison is sitting up pretty good now. She still loves to eat and is right at 19 pounds. Collin was not allowed to turn around his car seat until he turned a year b/c the requirements are to be 1 yr. old or 20 pounds...Addison will obviously get to face forward much sooner than Collin. Collin is still only 26 pounds...Addison will surpass him soon! She is 95% on weight and height. Her hair is long enough now that I am putting a little pony tail on top of her head. It's so cute!! I got her a pink leapard costume for Christmas, although I'm afraid she will be too big for it by the time she gets to wear it. Collin is going to be Thomas the Train. Collin is saying "I love you" and singing the "Happy Birthday" song now...he's so cute! At least, when he's not pitching a two year old fit!

I am unhappy at my job and am looking for a new one...I felt like I was lied to in the interview. My boss painted a lovely picture of the firm and how I would be "taken care of"...not so much. Anyway, if anyone knows of any openings you think might interest me, let me know.

Garner still loves his job and is making lots of friends there. We had one of his co-workers' over the other night with her husband and daughter. Turns out they both went to Macon Road Baptist, where I attended a couple of years of elementary school. They know and still hang out with a lot of ppl. that were in my classes. Small world. Garner is trucking right along in school as well. I think his grades are good, but he does not mention them much. He is studying a lot. He still has a ways to go!

We got back in town Saturday evening. The car ride was not bad at all. The kids slept alot and Collin played with his cars and looked at books. He even entertained Addison some by pulling a blanket over and off of his head to make her laugh. It was really cute. We had a great trip. It was very nice weather. Rained a few days on and off but that was nice shopping weather. Collin was a little timid of the ocean at first but warmed up quickly. We built sand castles and burried the kids in the sand, not Addison of course. It was a lot of fun. We played putt-putt and did go carts and ate lots of seafood. Collin ate shrimp, mahi mahi and had his first cheeseburger! He's never really liked meat so that was a big thing! I'll post pictures hopefully sometime this week, we have lots!

Garner and I did a 5K yesterday. I've been running about 1.5-2 miles and walking some. Just not 3.1 miles and not as hard as I pushed it yesterday. I am sore! Poor Garner, he has not done any exercising in a very long time so he is extremely sore. He beat me though! With those long legs he could just about walk faster than I run!

I put Collin in underwear over the weekend. He knew he was going to the bathroom but he would not let us know before he actually went. So we did have some messes to clean up. He would never go when I would put him on the potty, but it never failed that he would go about 10-15 minutes later. I put him in pull-ups when we were away from home. Then this morning, before he woke up, I went in and woke him up and put him on the potty. He was not happy to be woke up and taken to the brightly lit bathroom. So he was crabby for about 5 minutes. Then I let him stand up on the stool in front of the potty and played with a squirt toy. Finally, he went! Yipee!!! Hopefully it will just get better. I made a very big deal of it. Jumped up and down and clapped and told him how proud I was of him. We'll see what happens next.

So, I've been waiting for that "miraculous sign" that Collin is ready to start potty training. It came...he was at church last night and he told the teacher he needed to tee-tee so she sat him on the potty and he did! Yipee!! If that's not a sign, I don't know what is! :) So, I've instructed Mrs. Jackie to put him on the potty several times a day all this week and I'm going to put him in pull-ups this weekend and set a timer for every 30 minutes. That's my plan so far. Any advice is welcome!

Addi Rolled Over!

Addison rolled over for the first time at Mrs. Jackie's house yesterday. I'm so excited for her! She proved the doctor wrong...she's not so big that it will take her longer. She even did it 10 days earlier than Collin! :) Us women just pick up on things faster! *LOL* She's eating her cereal very well, although it does not seem to make her stay fuller longer. That child stays hungry!

Mine and Garner's five year anniversary is this Friday, August 10th. It seems like it's been longer than that. Not in a bad way. We started dating in December of 1998 so Garner has been a part of my life for a long time now. This December it will be a total of 9 years. My mom passed away when I was 10, so Garner has almost known me as long as my own mother did. He certainly knows me better than she did. It's interesting how your relationship changes as time passes. You get more comfortable, sometimes too comfortable. Some of the things you loved most about that person when you were dating are now some of the things that drive you crazy now that you are married. Kids certainly change things as well as all other events that life just throws at you. I found a "Happy Anniversary" card today for Garner. He never reads this blog so it won't ruin the surprise. It talks about working together, weathering the storms, realizing that marriage takes work, and then reminding the recipieient that when "I" pledged my life to "you", I meant forever and I still do. That's love. You may not always have the butterflies. You weather the ups and downs, but love is not about a bunch of gushy feelings. Feelings fade. Love is about commitment FOREVER and that's what mine and Garner's marriage is about. We certainly face all the "storms" like everyone else and I have to admit that I have those moments when I don't "like" Garner, but we are in this forever, no matter what. God put us together, and that we shall be until death do us part.

Addison had her 4 month check up yesterday. She is 15 pounds, 1 ounce, and 25 and a quarter inches long. She is 95th percentile on height and 90th on weight. The doctor said it might take her a little longer than most to roll over because she is a "bigger" baby. LOL!:) Her fat rolls are soooo cute! She rolls to her side from her back, just not all the way over. She can roll from her stomach to her back also. She is laughing and "yelling" a lot. It's funny, she is only 11 pounds lighter than Collin. Poor thing, he's so skinny. Most kids his age are over 30 pounds by now, but he is only 26. He is really paying us back for being so good when he was a baby. He is awful now! He won't mind and tells us "no" non-stop. He's pulling the kittens tails and picking them up by their heads. When we tell him not to do something, he laughs at us and does it anyway! Garner and I are about to pull our hair out! We are just trying to stay consistent in disciplining him and ride out the terrible twos. Hope it ends when he turns 3!!! I won't hold my breath though...

Collin has the croupe. Don't know if spelled that right. He came down with a light fever last friday night and got worse over the weekend. His cough started saturday night and we took him to the doctor on Sunday. He's on meds now and does pretty well during the day. It's night time that bothers him the most. We are praying Addison does not get it since it's much worse on infants. Garner and I were supposed to go to dinner and a movie with some friends Saturday night but ended up home with the kiddos. This is the third time we've tried to do something with this couple and had to cancel. Ahhhh the joys of parenting! :)

Those are the names of the two newest members of our family. We decided we wanted a cat again since we miss Sky. (Our cat whom we gave away before Collin was born) So we went to the Collierville Animal Shelter and they were doing a "two for one" deal as long as you get them in the same litter. So we picked out two sisters that are three months old. Perfect age for our family, if they were any smaller their lives might have been endangered by Collin. He only wants to love on them, but two year olds don't realize the strength of their grip! Any way, they have been a lot of fun so far. Collin loves playing with them and they are a hoot to watch when they are just chasing after each other and sliding all over the wood floors! :) I'll upload some pics of them as soon as I have a spare moment which might not happen until Addi turns 18! *LOL* She, by the way, is just beautiful! I know, of course I think that, but really, she is! Her dark hair with those blue eyes is just gorgeous! Collin is turning into a Mexican. He's spending a lot of time in his pool and I'm just putting on his swimmy diaper so he looks like he has a speedo sun tan line! :) All in all, the fam is doing great!

Addison is "talking" so much! I don't remember Collin being this vocal at her age. She will be 11 weeks old tomorrow. She smiles a lot too! She still has almost all of hair. A little has rubbed off in the back. She does not like being on her tummy. I'm so glad she has not lost it. I like putting bows in her hair! I don't think I gave her two month check-up stats. She was 12 pounds, 9 ounces and a little over 23 inches long. (This was 2 weeks ago) She is 95th percentile on weight and 90th on height. Growing very well and meeting all the bench marks for her age. She had 4 shots and screamed bloody murder! It was so sad! :( Collin is still acting his age, but he's still got his tender side. I just love those kids!!

I'm at work...don't worry...it's my lunch break. I got "permission" to surf the web during lunch. Glad they don't block sites like a lot of companies do so I can actually get on here. My sister-in-laws company puts and blocks and she can't even view shutterfly pics I send her. I guess if it's a large company though, that makes sense. Anyway, the day (Monday) is going well so far. This is our busiest day b/c the lawyers all head for Shelby Cty. court tomorrow and so all the cases have to be ready. Plus we have Saturday and today's mail to go through. The mail is a huge thing around here b/c it's how we get payments on cases as well as new cases coming in. We get hundreds of pieces of mail a day. Anyway, bye.

I started my new job yesterday. I think I'm going to like it. I'll be managing about 20 women. They seem nice so far. A lot of them are about my age. I have a lot to learn and will be very busy, but I like busy. I've got my own office decked out with a new computer and printer. This job will be a challenge with all it's responsabilities...bring it on!
It was hard leaving the kids. I know they are ok and well taken care of, but I hate being away from them for so long. A break from them is nice, but I do miss them a lot! It's really hard not being able to go pick up Addi for a snuggle and Collin for a big bear hug whenever I want, but I'll make it...don't really have much choice.

Collin is so great with Addison! He still has his jealous moments when I'm holding her and he wants in my lap too, but overall, he's a big help. When she cries, he runs to give her the pacifier. She does not like being in her car seat and so he rocks her until I get her in the car. If he walks away from the carrier and she starts to cry again, he runs back real quick to rock her some more. He's so sweet with her, I love it!

Wow time flies! I only have two weeks left of maternity leave. Addison is six weeks old today! Everyone is well, staying busy. I have no idea how I'm going to manage getting two kids ready and to the sitter and me off to work by 8 am every morning. Should be interesting to say the least! I'm sad to have to go back to work soon, but excited about the challenges the new job will bring. Hope everyone in the blogger world is doing well. Enjoy the weekend!

Here is a quick update, as you all can imagine, I'm very busy these days! Addison is doing very well. She was up to 8 and a half pounds at her two week check up. She is now 3 and a half weeks old. Collin seems to still like her for the most part but is acting out some which is expected. He smacked her today, but I think he meant to hit the couch and not her face, needless to say, he did not like the consequences! We went to have pictures done at Sears today and Addison peed on the photographer! It was really funny, luckily we know the photographer on a first name basis and she thought it was funny too. Addison is waking up to eat once at night so that is nice. She is sometimes difficult to get back to sleep after her last feeding of the day at about 9, but hey, she can't always be perfect! Anyway, all is well in the Price houshold. We are tired, busy, and I'm often forgetting to eat a meal or two, but we are good!

Addison Has Arrived!

She was born on Friday, March 30th at 8am. She weighed 7 pounds and 15 inches. She is 21 inches long. She came out a screamer! She has a full head of dark wavy hair with a cow-lick in front like her Aunt Jenni. She is absolutely beautiful! Looks a lot like Collin. She is nursing very well. Both Mother and baby are doing great. We are home and relaxed. I've posted a few pics, and sent most of you the pics on Shutterfly.

We are now down to the last few days of peace before our little pink bundle arrives! We are to arrive at Baptist Women's Hospital Friday morning at 5:30am. The surgery is at 7:30 and will take a little longer since it's my second c-section. So hopefully I'll be done by 9am and then I'll be in recovery for a couple of hours before I'm moved to my actual room. I'll be on the second floor for the surgery and 4th floor once she is born. So, afternoon will probably be when I'll be up to having visitors come by. If they keep me as long as they did when Collin was born, I'll be heading home Monday morning. I'll be posting pictures sometime next week hopefully. Please keep us in your prayers!

Devoted Car Man

Garner picked up two metal cars from Kroger yesterday for Collin. Pretty cool looking ones and they are the kind that you pull back on and they speed off on their own. Well, Collin fell in love with these cars. He would not put them down. He refused to eat dinner at his regular time, when he acts like he's dying of starvation, so he could keep playing with these cars. He even threw his beloved teddy bear aside to sleep with his metal cars. When I went in to his room to get him ready this morning, he was still holding on to his cars. I could not pry them from his hands. He took them to Mrs. Jackie's with him too! I've mentioned before how much he likes playing with cars, but this proves his devotion! I hope he does not want to be a race car driver when he's grown up!

Best Little Boy Ever!!

Collin is such an entertaining child! He picks up a new word everyday, although he's not much of a talker. Probably his favorite word right now is "No!". Even when he probably means "yes", he still yells out "no" and it makes us laugh. He plays quietly with himself most nights and just watching him running his cars along the couch and fireplace is the coolest thing. He loves cars! Good thing I picked the "CARS" theme for his room! We are teaching him the ABC song and he sings along although most of what he is singing is unrecognizable. He loves reading books, and I hope that continues throughout his years. He is a big eater although he's still a bit picky. He wakes up every morning expecting to go straight to his chair for breakfast. If you walk past the kitchen, he's an angry little boy. Garner has not totally caught on to this yet. The one day a week he is off, he gets Collin up, grabs his cup of milk, and tries to get him to hang out in our bed with him for a little while. This is not cool with Collin. He just pitches a hungry fit! He usually eats a bowl of cheerios and some fruit or a piece of toast at our house. Then at Jackies, she serves breakfast at 9 and he eats again. They have lunch between 11 and 12 and then snack at about 3. Then when we get home about 4:30 or 4:45 he goes straight to the refrigerator for something to munch. Then I usually have him some dinner ready between 5 and 6. He eats all day and is still "underweight" for his age! He'll be two April 8th and he's only about 25 pounds. He's still 90th percentile on height. Guess who he's like...Daddy! As for knowing if his life is about to change, I think he knows something is going on, but not really. We ask him where the baby is and he pats my stomach, or lifts up my shirt and rubs my belly. It's so cute! We had pictures done at Sears and we actually got him to kiss my belly...adorable!! He is such a playful and fun little guy! I think he will be a great big brother. He is so tender...well, except for when it comes to Peaches' tail. He gives me a great big hug every morning after I finish getting him dressed and more hugs and kisses when I drop him off at Mrs. Jackie's house. That little boy has completely stolen my heart!

I had another Doctor's visit yesterday afternoon. It looks like I will probably be having another c-section. It's not the end of the world...I had just hoped to experience "true" labor even though it's painful. My body has not started preparing for labor at all at this point. I'm not dialated or thinned out in the least bit. So the doctor said more than likely at this point, I won't, but she's not saying it's impossible. I'll be 38 weeks Monday. We scheduled a c-section for March 30th so if I go on my own, great, if not, well, happy birthday to Addison on the 30th! We have to be at the hospital at 5:30am with the c-section scheduled for 7:30am. Same drill as with Collin. Even though it's probably not going to happen like I had hoped, I'm still really excited! At least I know there is an end in sight to this daily growing belly!

It's my birthday today. Nothing special happening. Garner and I went to dinner at Applebee's (I know most people don't like it, but I love it, chicken fajita rollup...yum!) last night, then to a hospital tour. My life is so...old. I'm very blessed and I do enjoy my life, but it's rarely exciting. Any excitement I do get comes from Collin or the occasional girl's night out. Yes, Addison's upcoming arrival has me excited, but you know what I mean. I guess that's just life though. Especially in my case anyway...starting a family so early in life. Garner and I will enjoy more excitement when the kids are older and eventually grown. We might be missing out on some "young fun" now, but we won't be approaching 60 and still raising our kids either. It's funny how people always think the grass is greener on the other side. Some of our friends have stated their jealousy over our blooming family life and we think we might be missing out on some of that freedom that comes without kids. The truth is, life is what you make it, what you allow God to make it. I try to always remember that. So no matter how dull I might think my days are, I try to cherish each one. Like last night. Collin would not go to sleep. He would start to cry every time I left the room. So, even though I was tried and my feet were extremely swollen, I went back and cradled Collin like a baby and rocked and sang him to sleep. How many more times will I be able to do that and how much will I miss it when I can't anymore? They grow up so fast, it's just unbelievable! So, it's my birthday, it's not exciting, but it is certainly full of wonderful family and friends, and that I am thankful for.

I am now 37 weeks along and seeing the doctor every Thursday afternoon. I have not dilated any yet, so hopefully something has happened by the time I see the Doc this Thursday. I am hoping to have a natural delivery instead of a c-section this time, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The Doc will not induce me because of my previous c-section so the closer I get to my due date with no progress, the more likely I will have to have the c-section. I am probably going to schedule a c-section for March 30th so that if I have not delivered by then, we will just move forward. Collin's birthday party is April 7th, so we just want to go ahead and move forward on the 30th so I'll have time to recover some before his party. Anyway, she is estimated at 6 pounds, 2 ounces as of last Thursday. I think the tech said 20 inches, but I can't remember for sure. I'm guessing she will be another long, skinny baby like Collin. She is head down and low which is good. I'm not too terribly uncomfortable, but I hope she does come soon. I just can't wait to hold her! I'm really excited about having a girl!

We are in the new house, pictures are hung, the garage is cleared and I feel great! I thought I might be a little unrealistic to think we could get it all done from friday to tuesday, but we did it. We just have to mount the tv in the master bedroom, but everything else is done. I'm so relieved! Collin seems to be adjusting ok. He has had a little trouble with not wanting to go to bed and waking up in the night, but nothing major. I really love this house! The playroom is right off of the kitchen so I don't feel seperated from the fam while I'm cooking or cleaning up. The backyard is great too! Collin loves running around out there. The back yard is also visiable from the kitchen so I can do stuff and keep an eye on him at the same time. We are finally home!

Moving Day!

Moving day is approaching quickly! We will be starting this Friday...hopefully I'll be done unpacking and organizing within the next week. I'm really excited but hope I can get it all done in the few days I have taken off. I'm off Friday throughh Tuesday, so we shall see. It won't take much time for the actual move since 90% of our stuff is in a storage unti, it's just the unpacking and settling in that I hope goes smoothly. I have to be careful not to put myself in labor either. I'm a bit of a workaholic when it comes to my house. I hate to sit down before it's all completely done. I'm excited for Addison't arrival but would prefer she not come until we are completely settled. Plus, it's still a little early. I'm 34 weeks today, but if I go into full-blown labor, they no longer try to stop it. Anyway, keep us in your prayers as we tackle this next big step. Seems like we always have several major changes in our lives instead of just one at a time. I think Garner and I just enjoy the stress or something! Moving, baby, new job, Garner in school...we can handle it though.
Garner is pretty sure he wants to finish his pre-recs at Southwest and then transfer to U of M to get his bachelor's in nursing so he can then go to anesthesia school to become a Nurse Anesthetist. He won't be done with school until he's like 35, but it will payoff in the long-run. He's really interested in that field and the money you make is awesome. They start in the 6 digits right out of school. Anyway, that's just something he wants to do but has to do a little more research into before he makes a final decision. Hope all is well out there in the blog world!

So the law office I interviewed with has decided they want me bad enough to meet my salary terms. They have agreed to pay my 8 week maternity leave as a "signing bonus" and I will start work after that. Probably around June 1st. The name of the firm is Mendelson & Attorney's. They do collections. I will be managing their administrative office of about 20 employees. This will certainly be a more challenging position than what I hold now. I am looking forward to it though. I get bored here a lot, which I know some people would love, but I hate being bored. It makes the day drag bye. I'm a busy body at heart, just ask Garner, he hates it! So I'm looking forward to being busy from the time I arrive at work to the time I leave. I will be at work 30 more minutes every day than I am now, but that is b/c they want me to take some kind of lunch break. It's a lot more money though, so it's worth the trade off. I've already verified that I won't have to do any overtime and they are flexible with me having to take off due to sick kids. I think it's going to be a good move both financially and professionally. Could not have come at a better time with us buying this house and Addison's birth.

Another look alike...

I had my 4D ultrasound this past Tuesday. From what I could tell, Addison is going to be a Mommy look-a-like! :) Poor Garner...he only gets to claim the stature, well, the little or no patience as well. He and Collin are both impatient. Addison seems to have my chin, lips, cheeks, and nose. She even curls her toes like I do! Collin does that a lot as well. She wanted to keep her hands and feet by her face at all times so it was hard getting good pictures. I'll try and download some of them when I get a chance. We have a video and can see her practicing her breathing, blinking her eyes, yawning, smiling, and sticking out her tongue. She is measuring perfectly and she is head down. I'm glad since I'm trying to avoid another c-section. She is a very active little girl! When the nurse was checking the heart beat with the doplar thing, she put her hand on my belly to feel where Addison was and Addison ran her hand along the top of my belly and the nurse jumped with shock. She said she had never felt a body part of an unborn baby so clearly before. Pretty cool. Only about nine and a half weeks left!

It's Thursday, which means tomorrow is Friday, which means the next day is Saturday and I don't have to go to work! :) Boy, I amaze myself with my intelligence! It's really pretty great though that I can remember the days of the week considering all that's going on in my life right now. Pregnancy, purchase of new home in less than a month...which means finalizing mortgage stuff, shopping for homeowners insurance, getting the inspection done, etc. Planning out the actual move and how to accomplish it 8 months pregnant and working full time. Oh, and don't forget the toddler at home who is almost two and acting like it! He's great though...just going through that "I want what I want and I want it NOW" stage. And then there's Garner...he started school this week. So he works a 12 hour shift on Monday and Friday which puts him home around 7:30 or 7:45. He has class from 6 to whenever on Tues., Wed., and Thurs., nights. It's not too bad right now, but I can't imagine how it's going to be once I'm back from maternity leave and handling a toddler and infant all by myself every night of the week. Should be interesing...I'm recruiting help. Jenni is going to pick one night a week to come over after she gets off of work and hang with me. I'm up for the challenge though. It's not like that's how life will be forever and I am determined not to get stressed about it and enjoy my kids while they are little. I am excited about the move even though it will be difficult. I've become quite accustomed to having Garner's dad around every day. He just loves Collin and he's been really helpful with him, housework and cooking dinner. He's just been great. We are blessed to have him. I've slowly built up a nice decorating reserve and am exicted about getting in and making that house our home. It's just a beautiful house and we can't wait to be there!
I'm so happy that Garner is going to school and that he is actually glad about it. I know he will do great. He's only been working at Baptist East since August 1st and he already has doctor's requesting him on their surgical cases. He's just doing so well and he likes it and that makes me proud. The fact that he wants to take his education and career even farther is just fantastic! Well, I hope all is well out their in the world's of the few people that read my blog. Oh, and in case you have not noticed in previous blogs, I'm not such a great speller and really don't want to take the time to use the spell check, so I apologize for any words that do not make much sense. :)

Not A Good Start...

We didn't have such a good start to the new year. Collin got sick with the crupe Monday night (the 1st) so I had him home all week while trying to get some work done too since it's the new year and I'm swamped with all the accounting stuff. He's better now though and back at Mrs. Jackie's this week. He has developed an attitude though. He pitches fits a lot now when he does not get his way and he gets mad when we have to change his diaper. It's like an alien has overtaken my child. It's just not like him to be so high strung. Hopefully, since we are getting back into a good schedule now, he will even out. Anyway, hope everyone had a better start than we did.
The only other thing I have to report is that my glucose test came back border line. So I'm on a strict diet for 3 days and will have to take a 3 hour fasting test friday morning to determine if I have gestational diabetes. I hope I don't, b/c then I'll have to stay on a VERY strict diet until she's born. It's really healthy though, so wouldn't be that bad, just hard to find foods for me to eat while feeding two skinny boys at home. I now have bi-weekly check ups and everything else is looking good. Nothing else to report.

We have two Christmas gatherings tomorrow, one all day gathering on Sunday, our own little family Christmas on Monday morning, then Collin and I leave town Monday at 11am to return on Saturday and then have one more Christmas gathering on Sunday the 31st. Don't You Just Love It?!?

It's just great when you take your vehicle in to the shop for some routine stuff and walk out with a $1,000 bill! All I needed was an oil change and I get the standard alignment, rotation and balance free for the life of the vehicle. So I was looking at about a $30 bill. Come to find out, I have a nail in the side wall of one of my tires and all of them are actually starting to look pretty bad (so Garner wants 4 new tires). I need a fuel system cleaning, a transmission and brake fluid flush, and my battery needs to be cleaned b/c it has corrosion. I hate cars. If it were up to me, I wouldn't do any of it, which I know probably isn't the smart thing. So, luckily I have my husband who is overprotective and decided I needed all of the maintenance done. We are about to drive to Kansas City, MO for a week without Garner and he's a worrier. No wife of his is going to take a trip without a full vehicle inspection along with the expensive bill! I also hate not knowing if I'm getting the run-around b/c I'm a woman who knows nothing about cars/vans/trucks, etc. O-well, at least Garner talked to the guy and seems to know a little about what he is saying...I do not and don't intend to learn!

Collin had one week where he struggled with staying in his toddler bed. He got over it real quick and is doing fine again. We are so glad!!

Oh, and on a cute note...Collin's younger cousin Eithan was over for about an hour and half last night and was a little fussy. Collin went up to him out of no where and gave him a hug. I have never seem him do that before. It was so sweet! Of course he kept trying to give him hugs which only made Eithan mad, but it was still cute. I got a pic, I'll post it later when I download it off the camera.

Addison Update

I had a check up yesterday. Addison is doing great. She's still head up, but has plenty of time to turn...hopefully she will. I am trying to avoid a second c-section. We got a few more pictures this time since she was facing towards my belly button and not my spine. The doctor informed me that after my next visit on Jaunary 4th, I will be having check ups every two weeks. I remember waiting forever for the pregnancy to get to that point with Collin and it has come extremely fast with Addison. I can certainly tell I'm more busy this time around.
I've gotten back into walking. I'm getting to work 30 minutes early every morning to walk around the inside of the church. I like exercising in the morning and it gets dark too early now, plus, it is FREEEEEEZING outside! This routine is working out great and even though I've only been doing it for a week now, I can mentally tell a difference. I just feel better about myself knowing I'm keeping my body in shape during this pregnancy. Since I'm hoping to deliver naturally (naturally meaning the way God instended, not necessarily without paid meds), the walking will help get me in shape for all that pushing!

I think our easy streak with this whole toddler bed thing might be coming to an end. Collin has now been in his toddler bed for about 2 weeks with no problems at all. Last night, after we got home from church around 8, he was wide awake. Tired at church, slept on the way home, but wide awake at bedtime. Anyway, it took about an hour and a half to finally get him to sleep. Then, he wakes up at around 1am and decides it is time to play. He was wide awake for about 3 hours. We played the "put him back in bed game" over and over. We rocked him. We even let him lay in our bed. All he wanted to do was talk and move around. If we left him in his room, he would come lay at his door and cry. (We keep his bedroom door closed with the monitor on and he has not figured out how to open it yet) Finally around 4am Garner was so frustrated with him that he spanked him for getting out of bed again and then we didn't seem to have any trouble after that. We are tired though! I guess we will just have to show him in a more stern way next time that we mean business from the very beginning. It's kind of hard to do with him being this young, but I think he understands things a lot more than we give a 19 month old credit for.

Wow! Busy holiday! We had Garner's Dad's gathering at noon on Thursday, and his Mom's gathering at 5 on Thursday. My Mom did their's on Saturday at 2. We had lots of fun though and a ton of food! Plenty of leftovers, so I have not had to cook a dinner yet! :) My brother Matt and his wife Elaine and their daughter Anna all got to come for the weekend so it was great seeing them. Anna is about 7 months old and the chubbiest little baby I have ever seen!!! I'll post a pic later. Anyway, hope everyone had a great holiday! Now...get ready for Christmas!! Oh, and I just have to say, I was done with my Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving along with completion of the tree and about 90% of the gifts wrapped. I had to brag, sorry!

Growing Up Too Fast!

We put Collin into a toddler bed this past Friday. It's a race car and he really likes it. He has slept fine in it and does not get up at all at night or during nap time. The front is a slant and he likes to slide down it. He has already figured out that it has a lot more spring to it than his crib mattress did and enjoys jumping up and down. I sold his crib and am purchasing a white one for Addison's room. I cried last night. I know it probably has a lot to do with being hormonal right now but selling his crib was really sad. It made me realize that I was selling the first bed he ever slept in and that he is growing up so fast. He's not a little baby physically anymore, but he will always be my baby. I was pretty emotional last night. It's just an object but it represents so much. Being a parent and experiencing the devotion and love that comes with that is overwhelming at times. Collin has been such a blessing and a joy and he is moving into a new phase now and it's just hard to grasp. Soon his little sister will be here and there will be even more love to go around and I am so excited about that. Babies and toddlers are certainly a strain on the emotions and finances, but I wish they would stay little longer. I just can't put into words how I feel about Collin and if you aren't a parent, there is no way to understand it. I do recommend to those that are not parents though to welcome the possibility with open arms...you won't be disappointed in your experience no matter how it turns out.

It's Finally Friday!!

Friday is finally here and I am very glad. I have not had a bad week or anything, but I'm just ready to veg out at home. Next week is a short one so that is nice to look forward to. I always love the holidays. They can be very busy, especially when 99% of your family lives here, your husband's parents are divoreced, and you are expected to attend every funtion. But for the most part, I really enjoy getting together with family. Well, and the food is great too! As you can see, I don't have much to say. Hope everyone has a great pre-hectic holiday weekend!!

First Major Fall

Collin fell down the stairs at my Mother-in-law's house yesterday morning. He did not fall far and would not have been hurt but his head hit the edge of the wood that the railing is secured into. So, needless to say, he got a small cut and it will probably have an ugly bruise. He cried for a while, but then we took his mind off of it with some chocolate covered raisins. He loves those things! Maybe we can't even call it a "major" fall if there was no need to visit the emergency room. I know it will probably happen, but I dread that day! He is fearless most of the time so we have to really watch him when he is climbing anything.

Thought I might write a quick something. Not much is happening in our neck of the woods. Garner has started working 12 hour shifts which I think he really likes. He enjoys the two extra days he has off during the week and it's nice that Collin can stay home more. I've been doing a lot of online browsing/shopping for the new house. Garner's dad is giving us his dining room table and I bought new chairs from Kirkland's for it. The chairs are so pretty and I got a great deal on them. I've also purchased our coffee table, console table, two end tables, and a matching wall hook from Target on sale. I'm so proud of my purchases so far because they have all costed less than I was planning for. All I have left to get now is our entertainment center, kitchen table and bar stools which I have found at Target as well and am hoping they go on sale soon. So, everything is coming together nicely. I have plenty of time considering we are not supposed to move in until February, but I like planning ahead and it's been a lot of fun so far thinking about what I want to do with the house as far as decorating. We won't have to do anything as far as fixing, painting or stuff like that. The house is just as we want it and that is a relief! Well, unless we find out we are having a girl and in that case, we will paint her room. Garner is so excited we are going to have enough room now to have family holidays at our house. I think it's so cute how much he loves to spend time with family. Well, that is about all I have to say for now. Hope everyone here in the Memphis area is enjoying the rainy weather!

Stay Cold Please!

I am so ready for the weather to stay cold. There are several reasons for this readiness. One, I'm sick of having to catch the weather channel to make sure I'm dressed appropriately. Two, the constant change in temperature keeps messing with my sinuses (which by the way only happens when I'm pregnant). My third and most important reason is...most of my fat girl clothes are for cold weather so it makes it very difficult to find comfortable clothing for my expanding waistline when it's hot. I know, it's petty, but hey, I'm pregnant so that gives me the right! :) Speaking of me being a preggo, I did a really dumb thing last night. This will come to no surprise to most considering I do dumb things when I'm not even pregnant! This was pretty bad though and will give you a good laugh, so get ready. I was giving Collin a bath and when it was time to get out, I pushed the lever down for the tub to drain. Once I got Collin out of the tub, I realized it was not draining. So I called for Garner and told him the tub was clogged up. He came with a plunger and I went to dress Collin in his room. A few seconds later, Garner came in and said "it would help if you pushed the lever down for the tub to drain". I swear I pushed it down and Collin must have pushed it back up...that's my story and I'm sticking to it! It gave Garner and his dad a good laugh anyway.
Well, here is a baby update. I had a check-up last week and everything looks and sounds good. Nice strong heart beat. We go in for the ultrasound on Nov. 9th to find out what we are having and I can't wait!

Garner's graduation ceremony was held this past Friday night. He was so cute in his cap and gown! :) He graduated with honors and we were all so proud of him! Now he begins his quest in nursing school which I know he will do great in as well.

Collin has been sick since last Saturday. It started out as a cold, but got worse. I took him to the doctor yesterday and he said he has a virus and his tonsils are swollen and irritated. Nothing much we can do though since it's a virus. We are just giving him dimetap for the congestion. That seems to help. He is better today and went to the sitters. His poor little nose is so raw though. Anyway, that's all for now.

Well, we have come to an agreement with our friends regarding the purchase of their house. I am so excited. I really love this house. So, assuming nothing major happens between now and February, we will be closing on Feb. 15th. Great Valentine's Day gift!

Some good friends of ours are building a house and will be finished with it in February. Their current house is exactly what we want to purchase and we are planning to buy in February. The funny thing is it's in the back part of the same neighborhood we moved out of. That's fine with us. We really liked the area, we just did not like living in the smaller houses in the front where we new so many people. There was a lot of parties and a lot of drama that took place that we don't want to be near. This house is located in the larger part of the subdivision in the back, closer to Macon not Houston Levee. The house is a 3 bedroom with a dining room and a hearth room off of the kitchen. It's really nice with lots of extras. It has the master suite bath with his/hers closets. Lots of storage space, a PANTRY, wood floors, ceramic tile, good sized fenced back yard, brick lined flower beds to match the brick on the house, and tile back-splashes in the kitchen just to name a few. I absolutely love it. We are making an offer on it today or tomorrow. It will be a blessing for both sides if it works out b/c they will not have to deal with the stress of listing it and hoping it sells and we won't have to worry about where we are going to end up anymore. Anyway, thats our latest news. I'll post later to let everyone know if they accepted our offer.

Not a whole lot going on right now...I'm going to the dentist tomorrow. Anyone who knows me well knows I'm scared of the dentist. So, not looking forward to that! We are staying busy. Garner is contemplating more schooling options and I'm steadily trying to figure out where we want to move to in the spring. There is so much that plays into that decision when you have kids. We are busy with Church and Garner is playing softball on the rec team. Glad to see the fall is finally coming!

Today I went to shop at the consignment sale located in the Southaven Arena. It's a Mother's paradise! I was able to get in before the public b/c I'm pregnant. I have been looking for a used jungle gym as well as a two seater stroller. They are just rediculously expensive if you buy them new. So, let me tell you what all I bought.

I know everyone has, but I want to express my thoughts on this day as well.
Today is a day of remembrance. It's amazing to think that 9/11 was five years ago and we are still feeling the repercussions. As a wife and mother, I just keep thinking about all the Wives, Mothers, Children, Husbands, and Fathers that were left behind. There were so many pregnant women who gave birth alone...that breaks my heart. There are a few comforting things to remember though, I believe our country changed for the better...even though it may not appear that way on the outside. I believe heros emerged and most of all that God rose victorious. It's awesome to know that He can turn any tragedy into some good and it's sad to know we forget that, until a tragedy does arrive. I can speak from personal experience that tragedy and trials in our lives only make us stronger and recongnize God's glory and power even more.
May we never forget!

So, as you all know, Garner completed Surgical Tech school and is working at Baptist East. He is enjoying it, but wants to further his education. First, he was going to take it a little farther by training to become a First Assistant which is similar to a ST, but with a lot for flexibility and responsibility. Anyway, he then got a hair up his butt to become a pilot...I know...totally not in his current line of training. It's actually my fault because I got him an "exploritory flight" package and he got to fly and plane for 30 minutes. He loved it and now wants to get his license. He was thinkng about joining the AirForce, but that is not going to work considering you have to have your commercial license by the age of 27 and he will turn 27 in April. So now he wants to privately train to get his license. As I am sure you all know, this is very expensive, so it will be many many years probably before he can accomplish this. Now...You are going to be so excited Aunt Linda...he wants to go to nursing school and specialize as an OR Nurse. He has been told by many of his supervisors and fellow employees that he would make a great nurse because he is so helpful and compasionate. Plus, the salary for a nurse starts out $1.50 higher than what a ST tops out at. He's probably going to go to Southwest and Baptist will most likely pay for it if he signs a contract to work with them for a certain amount of time; most likely two to three years. The program should take him about 2 years. His supervisor told him they would coordinate his work schedule around his school schedule. I'm totally fine with him doing this, especially since he will be bringing in a paycheck also. I just wish he would make up his mind!!!!

Garner played drums this past Sunday for the Church praise team. He was just asked the Wednesday before so it was a spur of the moment thing. He was very nervous, but did great. Everyone has thrown lots of praise his way. He will probably be rotating in and out and so I think he will really like that. He has not played in a band/group since High School and is really looking forward to it.

Tamra seems to be irritated that I/other bloggers are not posting frequently enough. So Tam, here you go! We had a nice Labor Day weekend. Although it was a 3 day weekend, it's still never long enough considering I don't want to go to work anyway. All is good though in the Price world. Not much to share. My sister is about to pop. The baby is due in October but she will probaby schedule a C-section in about 2-3 weeks. I'm 10 weeks now and doing great. We are about 99% sure we are moving to Collierville in the Spring. So I am currently looking for child care in the area. Anyone have any ideas of a person or place, let me know. Anyway, not much else to say. Hope all is well with all of you!

Collin has now embraced this concept! We heard him Sunday morning just talking to himself in his bed. So Garner went into his room to see what he was up to. He had removed his diaper and was exploring his "area"! Garner ran in and told me to come see what our son had discovered. It was very funny! Since then, he has tried to remove it only once that I know of. I don't know what I'm going to do if he consistently takes it off...guess I'll have to keep a lot of towels handy for an accident!

Don't have much to say. I'm just sitting here at work, not wanting to work. I've been looking at Halloween costumes for Collin online. It's not that I don't have work to do, it's just I don't feel like doing it. I'm just tired and all I want to do is...nothing. I would really like to go to bed for a week...yup, that would be wonderful! Being pregnant this time is very different from the first. It's not that my symptoms are that different, it's that no matter how tired I am, I still go home to a very active 16 month old every night! Love him to death, but man he can wear you out!! Garner is a great help though. I didn't have to do much after cooking dinner last night. He took care of running after him all evening and his bath time. So that was nice. Anyway, I have my next Doc appointment next Wednesday afternoon. I'm anxious to see what their scale reads. According to our scale, I have not gained any weight yet. I'm trying to be careful considering I did not loose the last 11 pounds of the 35 I gained with Collin. I worked and worked and ate well, and could not for the life of me get it off. Oh well, guess I'll try again after this one. I think I'll hire Jenni's personal trainer to get me back in shape. I didn't think she had much to loose, but after begining training with him, she started to melt away. She's trying to get back into modeling. Obviously, she never was fat, but she's pretty thin now. She looks great, makes me want to slap her! :) Well, I guess I've rambled enough. Hope all is well in the world of the few people who actually read my blog. Later!

I Need Some Sleep!

Yesterday started off pretty well. We went to church and then to lunch at Hueys afterwards. I got the Chicken Philly which I usually get every time we go there. We were headed home and my stomach started to feel like someone was twisting all of my insides. It hurt REALLY bad! I spent most of the afternoon going back and forth from the bed to the restroom. Then around 3, the paid subsided and we went to my parent's house for Katie's birthday. I have no idea if it was something I ate, or the pregnancy. I did'nt and still don't feel 100%, but it's certainly not the horrible pain I had. So we got home and went to put Collin to bed and he screamed like he was terrified of something. I rarely rock him, but in this case, it was needed. So he went to sleep and all was good. We went to bed around 9:45 pm...we woke up to screaming at 12:15 am. We then proceded to stay up trying to get Collin to go to sleep until around 3:00 am when we finally just let him sleep in our bed. I had to put a pillow between and he and I so he wouldn't keep touching me and waking me up. Needless to say, I'm not all here today.

We Got A Heart Beat!

I had my second ultrasound yesterday. So I got to see pics of my 10MM baby and see the heart beat. It was 150 beats per minute, a good strong heart beat! My next ultrasound will be around 20 weeks, I'm just 7 right now, and we will find out the gender. That is, assuming baby cooperates. That's all for now!

No problem mon!! :) Our Jamaica trip was a blast! We got to do a lot of sleeping in and laying around which was wonderful! We also did some water sports, kayaking, sailing, etc. We had massages on the second day. There was food 24/7 and I didn't even gain any weight!! :) I even read a book which I have not done since High School! The service was awesome and we just all around had a great, relaxing vacation. We really missed Collin and were excited to get home to see him. Two of our bags ended up in Atlanta on the way home, but were delivered yesterday. So that was the only hold up we had the whole trip. Anyway, Jamaica is actually a very poor country. Many sections of their roads were not paved and the locals houses looked like shacks. Their were fences at each end of the beach to seperate each resort as well as keep the locals off of the property. They would gather at the fences though and yell at you to come buy some of thier products, or pot. It actually can be a dangerous country if you leave the resort alone, which we did not do. We road a Sandals bus to one of the other resorts to check it out and went to the golf course, but that was all the venturing out we did. I will post some pics of the trip when I have some time to download them.

Collin did well why were gone too. He did end up with a black eye from his Aunt Jenni though...I mean, when he was with his Aunt Jenni :)> They were in Target and he fell and hit his eye on a box. No problem with his eye, but it is scraped and bruised around it. He had a check up yesterday and so I told Jenni, when I talked to her on the phone last night, that they sent in child services to investigate and they wanted to talk to her. She believed me and it was hilarious! She was very upset when it happened...she's a great Aunt! He also spent some time at his Mimi's and had a great time there as well.

Collin now weights a whopping 22 pounds! He is still in the 90th percentile on height and the 10th percentile on weight. Tall and skinny just like his Daddy! He had to have 4 shots which he did not like at all, but seems to be doing fine. And he has lots of teeth now, including about 4 molars I think. I can't tell for sure because he won't let me look.

Garner is enjoying his job so far. He has to go through the whole rotations into each department thing again, then he will settle into Neuro. He's back into playing the drums again and might start playing with the church worship team.

Not much new is going on with me. I have an ultrasound appointment this afternoon and so I should get to hear the heartbeat. That's pretty exciting! Still having alittle nausea here and there, but nothing major.

Anyway, that's it for now!

Long Awaited...

We are finally leaving for Jamaica tomorrow morning!! We have to get up at the butt crack of dawn...3am! Our flight leaves at 6am so we have to be at the airport at 4:30am. It's well worth it though! I'll be napping on the beach tomorrow afternoon! I just hope I don't get sick on the plane. I've been getting little spells of nausea throughout the day, but nothing a little food couldn't cure. I've got an over-the-counter drug and a perscription just in case I do get really sick.
I made out a schedule for Collin yesterday. On it I included the different kinds of foods he really likes, what happens at bedtime, bath time, etc. I almost started crying. This is the longest we will have been away from him. It will be hard. As a mom, you think about all the things you know about your child by heart. You worry that he will want you and have no way to get to you. Or maybe he will get hurt and you aren't there to comfort him. I know it's a part of life and that his MiMi and Aunt Jenni will take great care of him...but they just don't know him like I do. What every cry or whimper means without even having to look at his face...anyway, we will be ok, but we will miss him tremendously!!

First Doctor's Visit

I went for my first prenatal check up today. My uterus is a little larger than normal, so they did an ultrasound and everything looks good. I go back in two weeks to have another ultrasound and to hear the heart beat. Looks like only one baby so far, but still a little too early to tell for sure. So pray that it remains only one because I think I would loose it if there were two in there!

Garner's Job

So it's official! Garner starts July 31st. He has to do rotations for orientation again, but he will be in the neuro department. That is where he wants to be so he's really excited. I'm excited there will be another paycheck! :)

Price baby #2 is on the way! Took two tests to confirm...and it's a go! According to the due date calculator, this one will arrive around April 2nd. So Collin and the new little one will be about 24 months apart. I think that's a perfect gap. Anyway, just wanted to share the news.

Garner's Job Update

The interview went well. The director told him that she probably wants him to start on July 31st. I don't think she would say that if she weren't confident that an official offer would be made. He has to wait on the recruiter to call him now. Yipee!

Garner has an interview today at Baptist East. He has been there for the past three months to complete his clinicals. He really likes it there and hopes to end up in their Neuro department. The director of Neuro really likes him so his chances are good. He has done extrememly well in his studies and is in the top three of his class.
Congratulations Garner!! He will be done with the surgical tech program this Monday. He plans to start a First Assistant program later this year to complete his education. The First Assistant builds on his knowledge as a surgical tech and actually performs parts of the surgery alongside the doctor. It will greatly increase his certifications as well as his salary. This program should take no longer than 1 year, but may be completed sooner due to it being an online course. Anyway, that's the big news in the Price world today!

Faith Hill/Tim McGraw Concert

I went to the concert with Jenni and we had a blast! I'm not as big a fan as she is but I really like both artists. The concert was two and a half hours of pure music. There were no breaks at all! Then we met up with some friends at the Blue Monkey. We got back to Jenni's apartment at 2:30am...WAY past my bedtime! I'm so proud I lasted that long! :)

We had a fun holiday. Spent the day by the pool and cooked out with family. We are tired though. Neighbors shot fire works Monday night until about 11pm and then again Tuesday night. This would normally not be a big deal, but when you have a small child, it makes it difficult to get them to sleep. Then, even if you are not ready to get up at 6:30 the next morning b/c you were kept up half the night, the baby is still ready to take on the world! We did have a good weekend though. Collin got his first booboo. He fell and scraped his knee and Garner acted like he had cut his leg open. Anyway, he's fine. So I hope everyone had a great 4th!!!!!

Walking!!

Well, it has been a little over a month since Collin took his first steps. He has been very hesitant to venture out on his own, but has finally taken the plunge!! He is now walking everywhere! We were in the front yard yesterday evening, which is a big hill, and he was walking down it. Obviously his balance is not perfect yet so he kept going faster and faster, I just knew he was going to go tumbling head first! It was so funny! Anyway, we are having a blast with him!
